In the past few months, I started thinking about how I use social networks and the impact they have on my life. Today, I took a strong decision: it’s time to move on from Instagram, a platform that is clearly no longer a social network. How did we get here? Where are we going? I need to dig deeper into my past personal experience with the social network to really understand why I am going to use Mastodon and Pixelfed.
I have been writing down events of my life for the last 10 years. I want to celebrate this achievement. 🎉☺️ This diary helped me a lot in the past, and I wish to convince anyone who is on the fence about starting one to go for it. Those are my personal observation.
One of the biggest things that I have been learning is the discipline of being focused on the main goal. I get distracted every few minutes, and if it is not an advertisement, or a funny cloud in the sky, it is an event that we may consider bigger than it actually is. Instead, I don’t want to lose the focus on the prize.
